About this policy

This policy explains what What AI Would Buy collects when you visit or use its forms. For privacy questions or requests, email legal@whataiwouldbuy.com.

What we collect

You can read the site without an account. The data we process depends on what you use:

  • Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies. It uses a temporary hash to count visitors. We see statistics such as pages viewed, referring sites, countries and device types.
  • Search runs in your browser using an index downloaded from this site. We do not receive or store your search terms.
  • If you subscribe, we store your email address, which signup form you used and your browser's user-agent string.
  • If you use a brand inquiry form, we store the email address and website you provide, the type of inquiry, any brand selected and your browser's user-agent string.
  • Our hosting providers may record requests, including the page address, time, IP address and browser details, to run and secure the site.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information, such as health details, political views or religious beliefs. Please leave it out of forms and emails.

Cookies and browser storage

The site does not set cookies. It uses your browser's local storage to remember when you close the site guide. That preference stays in your browser and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Who handles the data

Vercel hosts the pages and provides page statistics. Railway runs the server, and Neon stores form submissions in the database. These providers process data to deliver their services. Some processing may take place outside your country, including in the United States.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, or share it with advertisers or data brokers. If you follow a link to a retailer, video or other source, that website's privacy policy applies there. A third-party image host also receives a request when your browser loads its image.

How long we keep it

We keep signup details until you ask to unsubscribe or have them deleted. We keep inquiry details while we need them to answer you and handle any follow-up. You can ask us to delete them, unless we need to keep them to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.

Hosting logs follow each provider's retention settings. The page statistics we use are aggregated.

Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, receive a copy, restrict its use or object to processing. You can withdraw consent for emails at any time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

California residents may have rights to know, correct or delete personal information and opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Send requests to legal@whataiwouldbuy.com. We may need to confirm your identity. For EU and UK requests, we reply within one month. If the law allows more time for a complex request, we will explain the extension within that month. Other requests follow the deadlines that apply to them.

Children

The site is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us so we can remove it.

Policy updates

We update this policy when our use of personal data changes. The effective date above shows when this version took effect.
