Takedown procedure
Effective October 22, 2026
If you believe something on What AI Would Buy infringes your rights, send us the page URL and explain the problem. For a spelling correction or replacement logo, use the Trademark Policy.
Where to send a request
Email legal@whataiwouldbuy.com with the subject "Takedown: [brand or work]". We aim to acknowledge requests within seven business days. We provide a postal contact where required by law.
US copyright notices
For a notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or an authorised representative.
- The copyrighted work, or a list of works, you believe has been infringed.
- The material you want removed and its exact URL on this site.
- Your name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the copyright owner.
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice can lead to liability for damages and costs under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Requests from other countries
For an EU, UK or other rights complaint, tell us what is unlawful and why. Include the exact URL, your name and contact details, and whose rights you represent. Confirm that the information is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. We handle the request under the law that applies.
What happens next
We review the request and may ask for missing details. If it establishes an infringement, we remove the material or disable access to it. We may contact its source or the person responsible while reviewing the claim.
If material was removed by mistake
Contact us with the removed material's URL and explain the mistake. For a US DMCA counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed because of a mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, postal address and phone number.
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the US federal district court for your address. If you live outside the United States, consent to a US federal district court in a district where the service provider may be found.
- A statement that you will accept service of legal papers from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
Where the DMCA counter-notice procedure applies, we forward a valid counter-notice to the original claimant. Material is restored after 10 to 14 business days unless we receive notice that the claimant has filed a court action to keep it down.
How notice details are used
We may send your notice, including contact details, to the other party or disclose it where the law requires. Include the details needed for your request and leave out unrelated personal information.
