What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

4.0

divided
Reviewers praise
  • Sleep tracking is highly accurate, detecting actual sleep onset and stages better than competing devices
  • Recovery and strain metrics help users balance training intensity with rest, useful for preventing burnout
  • Screenless, lightweight fabric band is comfortable for 24/7 wear and barely noticeable during most activities
Reviewers push back
  • Subscription-only model costs around £27/$35 monthly with no option to simply buy the device outright
  • Battery pack is bulky when attached, looks awkward in social or professional settings, and is easy to misplace
  • Provides no display for time or quick stats; requires phone app for all data

Versa 4
across 5 reviews
3.5/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • Sleep tracking accuracy stands out among smartwatches, correctly capturing sleep stages, wake times, and even naps
  • Battery lasts five to six days with typical use, around two to three with always-on display and GPS workouts
  • Lightweight comfortable design at 24 grams, thinner than previous model, with water resistance to 50 meters
Reviewers push back
  • Music control and Spotify integration removed compared to Versa 3, forcing users to carry phones during workouts
  • Third-party app support eliminated, reducing functionality versus predecessor
  • Advanced health features like ECG and skin temperature sensors require upgrading to Sense 2
A capable fitness tracker with exceptional sleep tracking and battery life, undermined by the removal of music control and third-party apps compared to its predecessor.
— best for: Someone wanting straightforward fitness and sleep tracking in a comfortable package who does not need music control or extensive app ecosystem.

The accuracy of the health metrics—especially heart rate, recovery, and sleep tracking—is outstanding. The data insights feel truly personalized, helping me optimize workouts and rest days more effectively. The new strap design is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear 24/7, and the battery life plus wireless charging make it super convenient. I love the Fitbit Versa 4. I started wearing the Versa, then Versa 2 and now the Versa 4. They’re great watches and will hold a charge for a good while……unlike my Apple Watch which needs charging every 18 hours. I love it especially to keep up with sleep quality, my steps and my heart rate. I also love that I can read my texts. This is a handy watch with lots of information to give.
