Critics & buyers

What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
across 5 reviews
4.0/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • Swappable hot-swap battery system with a base station charger effectively eliminates downtime
  • Exceptional long-session comfort thanks to the suspension headband, adjustable telescoping arms, and soft faux-leather ear pads
  • Simultaneous 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity allows audio from two sources at once
Reviewers push back
  • Plastic hinges and some hinge play concern reviewers about long-term durability at this build tier
  • Active noise cancellation is functional for steady background noise but falls noticeably short of dedicated consumer ANC headphones
  • Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz volumes cannot be balanced independently from the headset or base station
Reviewers broadly agree the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is among the best gaming headsets available, praising its swappable-battery system, comfort, and versatile connectivity, though plastic hinges, middling ANC, and software quirks draw consistent criticism.
— best for: PC and console gamers who want a single headset for multi-device setups, long daily sessions, and hassle-free battery management will find this headset purpose-built for them.
BlackShark V2 Pro (2023)
across 5 reviews
4.0/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Microphone quality is a major leap over the previous generation — natural tone, strong background noise rejection, and flexible in-software EQ options
  • Battery life is exceptional, with rapid charging delivering meaningful playtime from a short charge
  • Comfort is generally rated highly, with breathable memory foam ear and headband cushions that suit long sessions and accommodate glasses wearers
Reviewers push back
  • Ear cups are shallow — reviewers with larger ears note the ear touches the inner baffle, which creates pressure over long sessions
  • Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless cannot run simultaneously, requiring manual switching between sources
  • Hinge tension is inconsistent across units — one reviewer found the updated hinges noticeably looser than the previous model, causing the headset to shift during use
Reviewers broadly agree the BlackShark V2 Pro is a strong wireless gaming headset with a dramatically improved microphone and generous battery life, though comfort fit and hinge durability draw some concern.
— best for: PC and PlayStation gamers who prioritise microphone clarity, long wireless battery life, and the ability to dial in audio profiles without keeping software running.

Between the include audio quality, the noise cancellation, the comfort, and the fact is works with my Xbox Series X, PS5, and Apple TV means means this was the single greatest addition to my media setup - especially so I can play late at night without waking anyone. The mic quality is excellent too - without having to pull the mic out of its hole, it picks up my voice (and my voice only) even in a b33rdy · steelseries.com

This is the absolute best headset I have ever owned. The connection is easy with the dongle, which at 2.4 ghz has the exact same performance as any wired headphones that one might own. I do not regret a single penny that I spent on this. Love the black color, the detachable microphone is great because I rarely use it, the sound quality is astounding, the fit, which is what I was most worried about Gabriel · walmart.com
