What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Aventus
across 5 reviews
3.4/5
Reviewers praise
  • Highly versatile across seasons, settings, and dress codes—works in offices, date nights, and formal occasions
  • Opens with bright pineapple and citrus, dries down to clean woody musk with sandalwood and oak moss
  • Generates compliments and projects confidence; widely recognized and appreciated in social settings
Reviewers push back
  • Performance inconsistent—some batches offer seven hours with moderate projection, others fade faster or perform weakly
  • Batch variations create unpredictable differences in scent character and longevity between bottles
  • No longer unique; extremely popular and widely imitated by affordable alternatives that smell nearly identical
Reviewers agree Aventus delivers a versatile citrus-pineapple-woody signature with strong mass appeal, though performance varies and the formula has changed over time.
— best for: Aventus suits someone seeking a signature scent with broad appeal, year-round versatility, and the confidence boost of a recognizable luxury fragrance—especially if brand status matters.
Naxos
across 5 reviews
4.5/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • Exceptional longevity and projection — reviewers consistently report it lasts a full day and beyond with a noticeable scent bubble
  • Highly complimented by others — multiple reviewers cite it as one of their most-remarked-upon fragrances
  • Complex, evolving scent profile — a boozy, creamy honey-vanilla core balanced by lavender and citrus on the open, settling into a smooth, dense dry-down
Reviewers push back
  • Tobacco note is elusive or absent for some — at least one reviewer found the prominently marketed tobacco difficult to detect, especially in newer batches
  • Performs differently skin to skin — the high naturals content means projection and character vary considerably by wearer
  • Skews unisex to feminine — the floral-honey combination reads as non-masculine or even feminine to several reviewers, which catches buyers expecting a bold tobacco fragrance off guard
Naxos is a technically accomplished, deeply sweet tobacco-and-honey gourmand that earns near-universal admiration for its complexity and projection, though some find the tobacco note harder to detect and its femininity surprising.
— best for: Anyone who enjoys sweet, creamy, honey-driven gourmands and wants a unisex fragrance with strong longevity and a consistent record of compliments.

One reviewer found the pineapple note too sharp or pine-like, while others consider it the fragrance's defining and appealing feature

Tobacco presence: one reviewer considers it the defining note and central pleasure; another cannot find it at all and describes the fragrance as primarily a sweet floral

Creed Aventus is one of those rare fragrances that truly lives up to the hype. From the very first spray, it commands attention, bold, confident, and refined without being overbearing. It screams both powerful and sophisticated. What sets Aventus apart is its versatility, it works just as well for a black-tie event as it does for a casual day out golfing. Absolutely incredible scent and compliment getter. Not overly sweet, a great blend between honey, tobacco, vanilla and I especially like the hint of lavender you get in it too. In my experience it's easy to like and versatile as long as it's not hot outside. My most complimented fragrance and it's come anywhere from coworkers to women at bars. 10/10 can recommend.
