Critics & buyers

The human jury in one chapter — what the video reviewers score and say, the reviews behind it, and how Google buyers rate them.

What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Bambino Plus
across 5 reviews
4.2/5
Reviewers praise
  • Three-second heat-up via ThermoJet system gets water to temperature almost instantly
  • Automatic milk steaming produces microfoam that rivals manual technique, with adjustable temperature and texture settings
  • Compact footprint fits tight counter spaces while housing a 1.9-liter water tank
Reviewers push back
  • Drip tray is extremely small and requires daily emptying
  • Machine and portafilter need warming with a blank shot before brewing or temperature stability suffers
  • Demands an espresso-capable grinder to unlock its potential; fails with inadequate grinding equipment
Reviewers agree the Bambino Plus delivers legitimate café-quality espresso and milk texture in a remarkably compact package with fast heat-up, though it demands a capable grinder and daily drip-tray emptying.
— best for: Best for beginners wanting café drinks at home who will invest in a proper grinder and prefer automated milk steaming over manual technique.
Classic Pro
across 5 reviews
4.2/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Commercial 58mm portafilter and brass group head offer thermal stability and compatibility with professional accessories
  • Exceptional build quality with stainless steel frame, heavy brass boiler, and minimal plastic—machines routinely last fifteen years
  • High repairability with readily available affordable parts and strong manufacturer support
Reviewers push back
  • No PID temperature control—requires manual temperature surfing or flushing techniques to maintain consistent brew temperature
  • Steam wand is basic, non-articulating plastic valve that feels cheap and allows limited pitcher positioning
  • Water tank is opaque plastic with poor level visibility and fussy hose connections
Reviewers agree the Classic Pro is the best-value true espresso machine under a certain price, built with commercial-grade components and exceptional repairability, though it lacks modern conveniences and requires manual skill.
— best for: Buyers seeking a durable manual espresso machine with commercial components who are willing to learn temperature management and value long-term repairability over automation.

This is STUNNING in the Aboriginal artwork version, and it is absolutely amazing to buy knowing Breville gives 100% of the profits to supporting First Nations participation in Indigenous foods markets. I absolutely love it so much. And the machine functions so well - my coffee flavours are coming out so strongly that I used to always buy Intense flavour beans but this machine doesn’t need that. Wow! This machine is a game changer for me. I am still a novice and replaced my starter DeLonghi EC430 with the GCP E24. The old machine was okay but until you get a machine of this quality you do not know what you are missing. My first Gaggia shot was better than any I had on the little Delonghi. The build quality is outstanding and considerably better than the Breville Bambino Plus. There are so Robb S. · wholelattelove.com
