Critics & buyers

What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Classic Pro
across 5 reviews
4.2/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Commercial 58mm portafilter and brass group head offer thermal stability and compatibility with professional accessories
  • Exceptional build quality with stainless steel frame, heavy brass boiler, and minimal plastic—machines routinely last fifteen years
  • High repairability with readily available affordable parts and strong manufacturer support
Reviewers push back
  • No PID temperature control—requires manual temperature surfing or flushing techniques to maintain consistent brew temperature
  • Steam wand is basic, non-articulating plastic valve that feels cheap and allows limited pitcher positioning
  • Water tank is opaque plastic with poor level visibility and fussy hose connections
Reviewers agree the Classic Pro is the best-value true espresso machine under a certain price, built with commercial-grade components and exceptional repairability, though it lacks modern conveniences and requires manual skill.
— best for: Buyers seeking a durable manual espresso machine with commercial components who are willing to learn temperature management and value long-term repairability over automation.
Oracle Jet
across 5 reviews
4.2/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Bright, responsive touchscreen with smooth step-by-step guidance for beginners
  • Fast heat-up and quick switching between brew and steam temperatures via the thermojet system
  • Easy-to-move chassis with a wheel-lever for cleaning and repositioning
Reviewers push back
  • Loses the ability to steam milk and brew espresso simultaneously found on true dual-boiler machines
  • Grind-size and drink suggestions can feel intrusive to experienced users, though they can be turned off
  • Water spout design is splashier than the chute style on other machines in the line
Reviewers agree the Oracle Jet is a polished, easy-to-use automatic machine that guides beginners well while still pulling good espresso, though it trades dual-boiler simultaneous brewing for a faster single-thermojet system.
— best for: People who want cafe-quality espresso and milk drinks with guided, largely automatic operation and don't need to brew multiple drinks at once.

Wow! This machine is a game changer for me. I am still a novice and replaced my starter DeLonghi EC430 with the GCP E24. The old machine was okay but until you get a machine of this quality you do not know what you are missing. My first Gaggia shot was better than any I had on the little Delonghi. The build quality is outstanding and considerably better than the Breville Bambino Plus. There are so Robb S. · wholelattelove.com

I recently upgraded from Barista Touch (had it for 6 years) and absolutely love this machine. Great tamping, very consistent, fantastic milk frothing, no more mess on the countertop, quiet and easy to clean. Breville really listened to its customers, as it improved all the things I had on my wish list. The only thing I wish they would add, is the fully manual mode (like on the Oracle Dual Boiler).
