Reviewers praise
  • Rich caramel and molasses flavor comes through clearly
  • Smells strong and pleasant both dry and brewed
  • Smooth, not bitter, even at a dark roast level
Reviewers push back
  • Bag has no built-in reseal mechanism, so beans need extra storage steps to stay fresh
  • Considered pricey compared to other store-bought coffee
  • Roast profile is unchanging, which some may see as a lack of variety
Reviewers agree this dark roast is smooth, aromatic, and carries a distinct caramel-molasses flavor without tasting bitter or smoky.
— best for: People who like a bold, dark, caramel-forward coffee and don't mind paying more for a recognizable brand.

Corsica has long been my go-to everyday coffee. It's my first cup in the morning and the last cup after dinner. Even bought the K-cups for the office. Wonderfully drinkable dark roast with all the tasting notes that make a great coffee, coffee. Hints of chocolate and cocoa nibs engage your sense of smell only to be enhanced after your first taste of each cup of coffee. BRIAN · lacolombe.com

I grabbed the Starbucks Whole Bean Espresso from Walmart on a whim because we’ve been making more coffee at home lately, and honestly… I’m impressed. The beans smell incredible the second you open the bag — that rich, deep, “real coffee shop” aroma — and they grind beautifully in our machine. The flavor is bold, smooth, and strong without tasting burnt (which can happen with some dark roasts). It Torche · walmart.com
