Critics & buyers

The human jury in one chapter — what the video reviewers score and say, the reviews behind it, and how Google buyers rate them.

What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Epix Pro (Gen 2)
across 5 reviews
4.3/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • Bright, sharp AMOLED display that stays readable in direct sunlight
  • Strong multi-band GPS accuracy for running and outdoor activities
  • Long battery life compared to typical smartwatches
Reviewers push back
  • Large, thick case can feel bulky and uncomfortable on smaller wrists
  • Interface and button controls are not intuitive and easy to forget
  • Textured case design collects dirt, sweat, and grime over time
Reviewers consistently praise the Epix Pro's bright display, strong GPS accuracy, and long battery life, calling it a rugged, feature-packed watch that trades some ergonomics and interface simplicity for serious training depth.
— best for: Serious runners, cyclists, and multisport athletes who want deep training data, rugged build, and long battery life without daily charging.
Pixel Watch 4
across 5 reviews
4.0/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • Display is bright, vibrant, and edge-to-edge with strong off-axis viewing thanks to the domed glass
  • Fast charging meaningfully reduces daily charging friction, with reviewers confirming the quick top-up claims hold in real use
  • Battery life is a clear improvement over earlier generations, with multiple reviewers getting through a full day plus more with headroom to spare
Reviewers push back
  • Speaker is too quiet for calls in anything louder than a quiet room, limiting wrist-call usefulness in public
  • A third distinct proprietary charger across four generations frustrates reviewers and breaks compatibility with older accessories
  • Software setup can be messy if Fitbit and Google accounts are on different emails, requiring full factory resets
Reviewers broadly agree the Pixel Watch 4 is a significant step forward, with a best-in-class display, genuinely useful fast charging, and improved battery life, though a proprietary charger change, a quiet speaker, and a three-year software update window draw consistent criticism.
— best for: Android users who prioritise display quality, fast-charge convenience, and health tracking and are willing to stay within Google's ecosystem.

This watch was everything I expected. Took a chance and bought this 'renewed - like new condition and that is exactly what arrived - looks and acts brand new! after 30 days so far so good! I bought this to replace my Garmin 245 Music so I would not have to using a charging puck halfway through an upcoming 100K in Arizona (I am an old and slow back of the packer!). This was the upgrade worth waiting for. The screen size is fantastic, the screen resolution is beautiful, the quality of the watch all around is top tier. It does everything every previous Pixel watch did, and so much more. It is easy to navigate, the interface is clean and to the point. The battery has lasted me 3 days before charging. And just like with the previous pixel watches, it tracks my s Kristen C · influenster.com
