I have been using these shoes for years as my daily hikers and my backpacking shoes. I love the stiff sole and the fact that I dont feel every rock on the trail. Once the shoes are completely broken in, they feel like gloves on my feet. I never get blisters or sore feet like I used to in my light hikers. They are very breathable and waterproof. Just got these last week and figured I'd break them in for an upcoming trip. Well, what do you know? No break in required! Comfortable and cozy from the moment I put them on with a pair of my favorite wool hiking socks! They hug my feet like I've wrapped them in a warm blanket. No heel slippage at all. Not too tight. Not too loose. Perfect fit for me! Cannot wait to hit the first trail! At 72, the Diane · peterglenn.com
