What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Reviewers praise
  • Visual navigation with beacons eliminates perimeter wire installation and works where GPS fails under tree cover or near buildings
  • Setup completes in twenty minutes or less with intuitive app-guided boundary mapping
  • Obstacle detection identifies and avoids hoses, sprinklers, and other ground objects reliably
Reviewers push back
  • No multi-zone mapping in software forces mowing all areas at once or deleting and remapping to switch yards
  • Cutting wheel sits inset from edges so several inches of grass remain uncut along borders and fences
  • Battery management triggers recharge cycles even when only small patches remain unmowed
The GOAT G1 excels at navigation and setup through visual mapping rather than GPS or perimeter wire, but requires beacons in open sight, lacks zone control in software, and leaves edges uncut like all robot mowers.
— best for: Buyers with medium to large single lawns who have struggled with GPS systems near buildings or trees and accept that edges require separate trimming.

We have an average sized yard and this mower works really well to cover it. Mapping was really easy with the app, all I had to do was just drive the mower around our yard once and it saved the path it needed to use. There is also a feature to manually drive it with a joystick on the app, which comes in handy for spot treatment. It can knock out the entire yard in a day across three charges, and it Espresso4Me · bestbuy.com

This is our second season with the mower, we love it! it does occasional get stuck but its getting better, I do recommend buying a second battery if it does get stuck and dies, just swap the battery no need to carry it all the way back to the charge port. Our mower did stop working today but, I called tech support and talked to tech Henry (thank you sir) he got the root of the issue and solved it Greg Location Michigan · WORX
