Critics & buyers

What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Speedcross 6
across 5 reviews
4.0/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • Exceptional traction on mud, loose dirt, and soft terrain thanks to the multi-directional Contagrip lug pattern
  • Durable, tank-like upper construction with rip-stop anti-debris mesh that keeps grit and moisture out
  • Secure, precise midfoot lockdown via the Sensifit wrapping system
Reviewers push back
  • Firm, low-rebound midsole is not suited to runners who prefer a soft or cushioned ride
  • Quick-lace system divides reviewers — lace end can escape its pocket during hard running, and traditional lace techniques are impossible
  • Grip on wet rock and hard surfaces is inconsistent — the soft rubber compound sheds quickly on asphalt and struggles on slick stone
A highly capable mud-and-trail specialist that earns strong praise for its aggressive traction, durable build, and secure fit, held back by a firm ride, a divisive quick-lace system, and limited versatility on hard or wet rock surfaces.
— best for: Trail runners and fastpackers who prioritise grip and foot security on muddy, soft, or technical terrain and are comfortable with a firm, performance-oriented platform.
Speedgoat 7
across 5 reviews
4.0/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Supercritical EVA midsole is noticeably softer and more responsive than the previous version, with better expected longevity
  • Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5 mm lugs delivers strong traction across wet, muddy, and mixed terrain
  • Redesigned heel collar eliminates the awkward shape of the prior version and improves lockdown and comfort
Reviewers push back
  • Sizing runs small — most reviewers recommend going up a half size, and getting it wrong makes the shoe unusable
  • Toe box volume remains low; runners with wider or higher-volume feet will still find it too tapered
  • Breathability is limited in the denser woven sections of the upper, particularly in darker colorways
The Speedgoat 7 is a meaningful recovery for the line, with a livelier midsole and improved fit that win back most reviewers who were burned by its predecessor.
— best for: Trail runners covering everything from short technical efforts to mountain ultras who want a cushioned, grippy all-rounder and are prepared to size up carefully.
Reviewers disagree · Speedcross 6?
Ultimate Survival Gear 4.5/5
Run4Adventure 3.5/5

Fit width divides reviewers: one found the toe box comfortably average with no compression, while others flag a narrow midfoot and recommend a wide version for broader feet

Reviewers disagree · Speedgoat 7?
Humble Running 4.5/5
Run4Adventure 3.5/5

Reviewers disagree on whether the toe box improvement is sufficient: some find the wider fit a meaningful upgrade, while others say it still tapers too aggressively for natural toe splay

I have a pair that have been up for Colorado 14ers, including the Pikes Peak Ascent and Pikes Peak Marathon, along with numerous times up the Manitou Springs Incline, and through the dry, mud, and snow of the Stories Ultra. These shoes performed great! Their aggressive tread holds to the varied terrain both winter and summer. They are comfortable on top of everything else. I'll be getting more of Chuck · salomon.com

Quality:Terbaik Suitability:Selesa Comfortability:Lembut a very solid trail shoe. It feels lighter and more responsive than older Speedgoat versions, with excellent grip from the Vibram outsole and enough cushioning for long runs on rocky terrain. shopee.com.my
