Owners love its portability, sturdy build, and space-saving design, but the slanted tray causes food to slide and fabric is difficult to clean, limiting its usefulness for independent feeding.

The juries are split — worth a closer look before you commit.

The verdict

What the panel makes of it.

The Ciao! Baby ranks #19 overall but splits user opinion: buyers praise its portability and sturdy, compact frame (4.3/5, 187 ratings), yet the slanted tray's tendency to spill food and stubborn fabric staining make it better suited for travel than daily independent feeding.

Review 2 highlights the tray design flaw (food sliding) that directly undermines the chair's feeding functionality for older babies.

In their words

Used for a 10 day camping trip with a 7 month old, you can really strap them in well and the fabric is pretty wipe able, we haven’t had to hose it down yet. Also fits the 2 yr old. We got a lot of compliments at the campground. Academy had the best deal and shipped surprisingly fast (as quickly as a major online retailer). Highly recommend both the high chair and academy.

This product was a lifesaver at first for taking my son with me to work. It kept him contained, and was very portable. My issues with this product came when my son got to to the age of feeding himself. The tray when set up is on a slant and causes everything to slide right on to his lap, making it pretty much useless for feedings. The fabric is also very difficult to clean. I have found other port
