AI summary of 5 reviews · as of Jun 2026

Reviewers agree the MINU V2 is a well-built, sturdy compact stroller with good suspension and easy folding, but the price no longer stands out against newer competitors and the seat recline mechanism and canopy have quirks.

Where reviewers disagree: One reviewer found the bumpiness worse than most strollers tested with an accelerometer, while others praised the suspension as noticeably effective; Opinions split on whether the compact category has caught up enough to make competitors better value; Disagreement on whether the V2 updates constitute a major or minor upgrade from the original model

Reviewers split

What they praise

  • Solid chassis construction with sturdy metal internal components and reinforced hinges that resist loosening over time
  • Above-average suspension and larger rear wheels absorb shock better than most ultra-compact strollers
  • Easy one-handed fold and unfold with spring-loaded locking mechanism and convenient carry strap
  • Large shopping basket with 20-pound capacity accessible from front and back
  • Includes bumper bar with leather accents and adjustable leg rest as standard equipment

What they knock

  • Seat recline pivots in the middle which some children find uncomfortable because it leans forward when they do
  • Canopy has excess loose fabric at the back that flaps and sometimes pops up partially when hitting bumps
  • Not tall enough for older children — seat back height causes heads to hang over by age two or three
  • Folded size exceeds airline cabin luggage limits and carrying it for long periods is awkward despite the strap

In their own words

  • every time I went back to the Uppa baby I just feel the quality in it

    The Stroller Mom

  • the menu V2 in my opinion probably has the sturdiest skeleton of any Ultra compact on the market

    The Stroller Workshop

  • Overall the Minu V2 is a decent stroller but you can do better for the price.

Buyers' weakest aspect (seat support) aligns with video reviewers' concern about the seat recline pivoting in the middle, causing discomfort and forward lean for some children.

Pro: Easy to push Adjustable footrest Included leather bumper bar Updated canopy Large basket Once again UPPAbaby has made a beautiful well-constructed stroller. The Charlotte fabric on this Minu v2 is this stunning blue color and it looks amazing with the saddle leather. The newly adjustable footrest is perfect as is the addition of the included leather bumper bar. And I love the updated canopy,,

We love this stroller for traveling. It fits through all the cabin doors on cruise ships. We cruise twice a month so that was very important to us as our full size stroller doesn’t fit through the small cabin doors. My biggest complaint about this stroller is the seat itself. There isn’t any support so my toddler slides down or slouches. I have read this complaint with others and they say the snug

Frequently asked

What buyers want to know.

  • What age is the Minu V2 for?

The seat back height is not tall enough for older children — reviewers note that by age two or three, children's heads hang over the back. It works best for younger toddlers and infants.

  • Is the UPPAbaby Minu V2 good for travel?

It folds easily with one hand and includes a carry strap, making it convenient for everyday trips and air travel. The folded size does exceed airline cabin luggage limits, so you will need to gate-check it. Reviewers recommend it most for parents who travel and can gate-check.

  • What are the main drawbacks of the Minu V2?

The seat recline pivots in the middle, which can make some children uncomfortable because it leans forward. The canopy has loose fabric at the back that flaps and sometimes pops up when hitting bumps. The folded size is awkward to carry for long periods despite the strap.

  • How is the suspension on the Minu V2?

Reviewers are split on this. Some found the bumpiness worse than most strollers they tested, while others praised the suspension as noticeably effective. The larger rear wheels do absorb shock better than most ultra-compact strollers.

  • What makes the Minu V2 well-built?

The chassis has sturdy metal internal components and reinforced hinges that resist loosening over time. It includes a bumper bar with leather accents and an adjustable leg rest as standard. The frame is solid and durable for everyday use.

  • Who is the Minu V2 best for?

It is best for parents who want a durable everyday compact stroller with sturdy build quality and smooth handling on sidewalks, and who can gate-check for travel. It is not ideal for families with tall toddlers who nap in strollers or those needing true cabin-sized luggage.
