What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Arahi 7
across 5 reviews
3.5/5
divided
Reviewers praise
  • J-Frame midsole delivers full-length medial stability, including forefoot support rare in the category
  • Lightweight for a stability shoe, with a balanced cushioning profile that allows some uptempo use
  • Articulated heel counter and low collar reduce Achilles pressure and ease entry
Reviewers push back
  • Firm, stiff ride requires several miles of break-in before it settles; feels rigid and road-direct early on
  • Fit runs narrow and slightly snug, limiting comfort for wider or average-width feet on longer runs
  • New upper is thicker and heavier than the previous version, reducing the performance feel
A firm, lightweight stability shoe with consistent J-Frame support and a snug fit that works well for overpronators but demands a break-in period and suits narrower feet best.
— best for: Runners and walkers with normal to narrow feet who need full-length medial stability, especially those requiring forefoot as well as rearfoot support at a lower heel-to-toe drop.
Wave Inspire 21
across 4 reviews
3.5/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Wave plate provides a distinct and effective medial stability mechanism that guides overpronating feet through the gait cycle
  • Firmer, responsive ride that feels snappy and energetic at pace
  • Lighter than previous versions of the shoe, with a slightly wider forefoot
Reviewers push back
  • Firm, structured feel is not well-suited to runners who prefer soft or flexible shoes
  • High heel-to-toe drop may irritate forefoot conditions and requires adaptation
  • Some runners find the upper and midfoot area bulky and stiff, especially at non-standard paces
A firm, responsive stability trainer with a Wave plate that most reviewers praise for its structured support and improved ride, though runners used to soft, flexible shoes may find it stiff.
— best for: Runners who overpronate, prefer a firm and responsive underfoot feel, and want a structured daily trainer with a high heel drop for short to medium distances.

Where reviewers split on Arahi 7: Reviewers disagree on upper quality: one finds the plush padding a clear strength, while another considers it thick and generic without premium feel On Wave Inspire 21: Reviewers disagree on versatility: the podiatrist reviewer considers it suitable up to half-marathon distances at pace, while the Running Warehouse panel found it less comfortable outside a standard easy-to-moderate effort

Quite possibly the funnest and fastest stability shoe out right now! And don’t be dissuaded, it is extremely stable! I’m a neutral shoe runner but dealing with an ankle issue (tibialis) and needed a stability shoe for the next few weeks. I’ve been making great progress with recovery and specific exercises but usually would have a little tenderness by the end of the runs. Not with this shoe. Felt g Renoruns · REI

I was training for a half marathon and suffered from illiotibial band syndrome when I started increasing the intensity of my runs. Physiotherapist and podiatrist appointments revealed I was flat footed and was overpronating a fair bit. Asics GT 2000 13, Brooks Adrenaline 24 & Saucony Tempus were a bit too narrow for my flat feet but my feet felt comfortable as soon as I wore the Mizuno Inspire 21 Customer · startfitness.co.uk
