Reviewers praise
  • Noise cancellation is among the strongest measured in this headphone class, with notable mid-range improvement over the previous generation
  • Foldable design returns, enabling a compact magnetic-latch case that multiple reviewers called near-perfect for travel
  • Transparency mode is dramatically cleaner and more natural than the prior generation, approaching the benchmark set by competing flagship headphones
Reviewers push back
  • Default sound tuning is bass-heavy and muddy; the low end bleeds into the mids, and Sony's built-in EQ presets do not fully correct it
  • Shallow ear cups place the drivers close to the ear, which causes pressure and discomfort for some listeners during long sessions
  • No USB-C audio input — wired listening and charging simultaneously requires two separate cables
The WH-1000XM6 delivers best-in-class noise cancellation, a refined folding design, and strong transparency mode, but its bass-heavy default tuning and shallow ear-cup fit divide reviewers.
— best for: Frequent travellers and commuters who prioritise best-in-class noise cancellation, a compact folding case, and are willing to apply EQ corrections to the default sound.

recently purchased the Nothing Ear (3) and I’m genuinely impressed. The sound quality is outstanding for this price range clean vocals, detailed mids, and punchy but controlled bass. Active Noise Cancellation works very well in daily environments like public transport and office settings. The transparent design is unique and feels premium, and the earbuds are comfortable enough to wear for hours w galaxus.ch

Performance:Outstanding Quality:Great It is truly one of the best wireless headphones you can get in the market. The ANC works wonders, I could barely hear the bus engine for the entirety of a 7h trip, and it is also comfortable to wear for long periods (I barely adjusted the headphones during the trip). The audio quality is also very good out of the box, and can be enhanced with some EQ'ing to my shopee.com.my
