My other Asolo Boots were XC ski. Like those the Falcon EVO GVs are superior quality and value for the money. Wore out the Ozboz, Keen's etc and their quality went down. These are stable, light, and put a spring in my step. I'm 87, 166 #, and these are just right for the moderate trails here in coastal Maine, and just fine for Swiss style trails. I would not recommend them for the muddy rooted AT, Mike W · REI

My search for well fitting boots has been complicated by a narrow heel and wide instep; feet almost impossibly between just about all manufacturer's sizes (10.3? 43.6? no one makes these); and then, a few years ago, plantar fasciitis, which I think was in part brought on by the new crop of shoes with almost no insole structure, combined with my search for light weight boots.
