How this is made

Built from what 5 AI models (Google-ai-mode · ChatGPT · Gemini · Perplexity · Claude) recommend for real buyer questions, layered with reviewer test summaries, Google buyer ratings, street prices and press. What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Gel-Kayano 32
across 5 reviews
4.0/5
mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Strong medial stability from the 4D Guidance System without feeling overly restrictive or clunky
  • Smooth heel-to-toe transition with a well-beveled rear foot geometry that improves on earlier versions
  • Plush, well-padded collar and heel counter deliver secure, comfortable lockdown with no Achilles irritation
Reviewers push back
  • Upper breathability is limited; the shoe runs warm in hot conditions
  • Not suited to fast running — bulk and stability geometry restrict it to easy and long slow paces
  • Fit is slightly snug through the midfoot and toe box compared to prior versions, which may not suit wide feet or all-day standing
A highly capable stability daily trainer that reviewers broadly praise for its smooth ride, adaptive support, and improved comfort over prior versions, with minor reservations about breathability and pace limitations.
— best for: Overpronators and neutral runners who want a supportive, well-cushioned daily trainer for easy miles and long slow runs, especially beginners or those prone to late-run form breakdown.

mixed
Reviewers praise
  • Wave plate provides a distinct and effective medial stability mechanism that guides overpronating feet through the gait cycle
  • Firmer, responsive ride that feels snappy and energetic at pace
  • Lighter than previous versions of the shoe, with a slightly wider forefoot
Reviewers push back
  • Firm, structured feel is not well-suited to runners who prefer soft or flexible shoes
  • High heel-to-toe drop may irritate forefoot conditions and requires adaptation
  • Some runners find the upper and midfoot area bulky and stiff, especially at non-standard paces
A firm, responsive stability trainer with a Wave plate that most reviewers praise for its structured support and improved ride, though runners used to soft, flexible shoes may find it stiff.
— best for: Runners who overpronate, prefer a firm and responsive underfoot feel, and want a structured daily trainer with a high heel drop for short to medium distances.

Where reviewers split on Gel-Kayano 32: Cushioning feel divides reviewers: some describe the ride as noticeably firmer than predecessors and clearly not a plush marshmallow shoe, while others call it highly cushioned and soft underfoot On Wave Inspire 21: Reviewers disagree on versatility: the podiatrist reviewer considers it suitable up to half-marathon distances at pace, while the Running Warehouse panel found it less comfortable outside a standard easy-to-moderate effort

Fit: US 10 Wide. I’m usually somewhere between standard and 2E, but for me the 32 the wide fit is just right. Comfort: Very comfortable right out of the box. The upper is snug but flexible and breathes well, too. I really like the thinner gusseted tongue which for me combines well with the laces – good lock down with no lace bite. The cushioning is great comfort wise when standing, walking, and ru Fizz60 · asics.com

I was training for a half marathon and suffered from illiotibial band syndrome when I started increasing the intensity of my runs. Physiotherapist and podiatrist appointments revealed I was flat footed and was overpronating a fair bit. Asics GT 2000 13, Brooks Adrenaline 24 & Saucony Tempus were a bit too narrow for my flat feet but my feet felt comfortable as soon as I wore the Mizuno Inspire 21 Customer · startfitness.co.uk
