The XPS 13 (2026) delivers on its core processor specification and genuinely impresses with premium build quality, design refinement, and solid battery performance that owners rate highly. However, the marketing's superlative claims about being the thinnest and lightest ever lack supporting evidence, and the 17-hour battery claim remains unverified against independent testing standards.

About

What it is.

Dell's XPS 13 sits within the XPS line as a 2-in-1 convertible built around a 13-inch display, pairing an SSD-based storage configuration with a slim, light chassis suited to daily carry. Its footprint and weight reflect a design emphasis on thinness and portability, with the convertible hinge adding tablet-style flexibility to the standard clamshell format.

It's built for people who want a premium Windows ultraportable with refined materials and screen quality, prioritizing prestige design over connectivity: there's no allowance here for extensive ports, SD slots, or dedicated GPU muscle. Those needing HDMI, card readers, or heavy color-calibration workflows should look elsewhere in Dell's catalog.

The verdict

The XPS 13 (2026) earns broad agreement from reviewers and buyers for its rigid aluminum build and striking tandem OLED display, though its limited ports and modest screen brightness outdoors restrict it to users who prioritize design and performance over connectivity and creative workflows.

In their words

This is my second XPS13. My first one is from 2018 and it has held up great. Only in the last year or two did it become slow and now the battery is also unreliable. At first, I was a little hesitant to buy the 2025 XPS. I had read some negative reviews about the battery life, the keyboard and lack of ports. The battery life has been great. I love the keyboard, I don't have issues with the lack of

Row of buttons on top is stupid, power button location is weird, some keys are bigger than needed and other keys could have fit if certain ones weren't so wide. Its also stupid to have the Ubuntu configuration missing a control key in favor of the copilot key. The lack of space between keys and the unmarked touchpad were very easy to get used to.
