Owners love the traction, versatility, and long-term durability for serious hikers, but are divided by fit inconsistency (wide toe box), premature sole wear, and poor lace durability.

Brand claims1/2 true2 promises checked

The marketing's traction claim holds up well against owner feedback (4.5/5 rating), and some owners report exceptional durability (2,000+ miles). However, the 'lightweight and responsive' benefit is undermined by a 3/5 durability score and multiple reports of premature sole wear within months, plus poor lace quality (2/5). Waterproofing, airflow, and stability claims go unverified by the available review data.

In their words

I’ve had several pairs of these great shoes. My last pair gave me 2,056 miles of use. I started wearing them April 9th, 2021 and just retired them March 20th, 2022. These shoes have been on all my journeys and at work every day. I’ve hiked in the Rockies and Wasatch mountains. They have been my constant companions in slot canyons, washes, and canyoneering.

Bought in May 2024. 8 months later (December 2024), the sole at the heel is completely gone for both shoes, exposing the inner sole. Laces on one shoe also broke (the design of the eyelets is abrasive to the laces, but these can be easily replaced, unlike the sole).

What the data shows

While owners praise versatility and long-term durability in some cases (one owner reported 2,056 miles), the overall durability score of 3/5 and reports of premature sole wear within 8 months undercut the 'lightweight and responsive' benefit claim.

Bought in May 2024. 8 months later (December 2024), the sole at the heel is completely gone for both shoes, exposing the inner sole.
