The verdict

What the panel makes of it.

Mammut makes the Sertig II Low GTX hiking shoe. Switzerland designed it. Gore-Tex lines the upper for waterproof protection. Hikers buy it to cross wet terrain without soaked feet. AI assistants rank it twenty-three for lightweight hiking shoes. The shoe weighs little. It grips stone and dirt well. Climbers trust Mammut for mountain work. This one handles scrambles and forest paths. You walk farther before your feet tire.

In their words

These are very comfortable shoes. I bought them for my South Korea trip as I planned some hiking. Shoes performed very well as light hiking shoes. Good grip, very light (you can barely feel them). I ended up wearing these for the most of my trip, including Seoul and Jeonju due to how weather played out for my other shoes - it was raining at least few days while we've been there.

CONS-NOT waterproof - Glue not holding all of the parts together. PROS : Durable upper, Durable sole, great lace engineering. Subjective - Looks Decently good and Very comfortable. Bottom line - The shoe is not waterproof and has some glue issues but is very tough, even against brutal terrain. MY fit was very good and it looks fairly good. laces stay tied :) I really wanted to love this shoe.
