Review 2's complaint about poor fit for shorter users and women directly echoes Critic Block 6's note that "The 45L size may feel bulky for shorter users or those preferring a compact" design.
In their words
“Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L - One Bag, Global Travel I bought this bag for a Costa Rica trip three years ago. Since then: Iceland, Japan, Paris, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and 10+ international flights. After thousands of miles, I'm still discovering what this bag can do. What Works: Clamshell opening is game-changing. Airport security takes 30 seconds—fold it flat, they scan it, done.”

“It's a great backpack and good quality BUT it was not made with short people or women with chests in mind. The hip belt barely does anything for me because the backpack is too big for my back. The fact that the backpack lacks load lifters makes this issue worse. My shoulders are so sore from simply being at the airport. The chest strap doesn't work well if you're a woman and have a chest.”
