Stock components like the grouphead gasket leak easily, requiring silicon upgrades—a weakness that undermines the otherwise premium build quality owners praise.

In their words

First of all, when you go pull this machine out and start the set-up process, you realize how well built it really is. It weighs significantly heavier than the machine I replaced. A careful read of the instructions will get you to “rdy go”, which for this machine means time to pull a shot. I’m still in the process of dialing in the grind but I have to admit the espresso that it makes is fantastic.

I really have enjoyed this machine. Home espresso is amazing. I’m 100% happy with the machine. I few issues I’ve had. The stock grouphead gasket performs extremely poorly. Easily leaks. The silicon upgrade fixed all my issues. The machine should ship with this. The pump for my machine was disconnected when I received the machine.

Quality Perfectionistbest-in-class

You want the best espresso machine money can buy, with no compromises.

Good fit

High buyer rating (4.7/5) with strong consensus across 629 reviews; top marks for build quality, heat stability, and shot consistency; only mid-tier QC issues prevent a higher score.

Premium Connoisseurbrand & status

You value a prestigious brand and flagship design that signals expertise.

Good fit

Profitec is an established, respected maker; GO sits at the premium price tier with compact, thoughtful design; positions as a serious espresso tool rather than utilitarian appliance.

Reliability-Seekerproven & safe

You need a proven machine you can trust to work day after day.

Good fit

629 buyer ratings show broad consensus; Profitec is a mature, established brand; high marks for durability and temperature stability signal a settled, low-risk product.

Simplifierjust works

You want espresso without fiddling—just turn it on and pull a shot.

Could fit

User-friendly controls and high-rated interface support ease of use; heat-up time is strong; however, espresso machines inherently require technique, so not a true plug-and-play experience.

Grounded in our buyer-review, reviewer-video, price and successor signals — a poor fit names a closer pick · as of Jul 10.
