The verdict

What the panel makes of it.

The Razer Kraken V4 Pro delivers strong haptic feedback and wireless ease that buyers value, but audio consistency remains a weak point—some hear crisp, immersive sound while others report flattened frequencies and squealing. At $399, it suits players prioritizing tactile response over predictable audio performance.

Buyers' weakest aspect—software and EQ controls—directly overlaps critics' note that out-of-the-box clarity is excellent, suggesting the headset's potential is hampered by poor tuning tools.

In their words

– OVERVIEW– The Razer Kraken V4 Pro is a multi-platform headset with Razer’s Sensa Haptics HD feedback feature, a first offering from Razer. It comes with a dedicated OLED audio controller to switch various settings and whatnot with ease. Sound is driven by Triforce Bio-Cellulose 40mm drivers, and sound enhancements come in the form of THX Spatial Audio for a 3D audio experience.

[Employee of bestbuy] Headset it self is ok. The audio is finicky and at many times will flatten out sound and kill bass or treble. Many sounds even with adjusting the EQ (Which razer has almost 0 thought put into it) the audio pitches can at times squeal and feels like knifes in my ears.
