  • Bluetooth pairs with multiple apps including Peloton Digital, Zwift, and Apple Fitness Plus
  • Dual-sided pedals with SPD clips and toe cages accommodate both cycling shoes and regular trainers
  • Build quality feels solid with no squeaking or wobbling, even when out of the saddle

Schwinn IC4 Review - Better Than Peloton, AND Cheaper?!

Home Gym Tested

How it holds up — after the dust settles

The IC4 delivers quiet, smooth performance and holds up well over repeated use, though seat discomfort remains a barrier for new cyclists.

  1. Seat comfort

    At launch

Initial rides caused significant discomfort for riders not conditioned to spin bike saddles

    After months

The pain persists across weeks of use unless padded cycling shorts are added

  2. Build quality impression

    At launch

Buyers compared it nervously to cheaper alternatives before purchase

    After months

The solid construction and silence become more appreciated after extended riding

In their words

I bought this bike about five months ago. It is extremely high quality build and the magnetic resistance fly wheel is smooth and near silent during use. This is a great value for this quality of stationery cycle. I use my laptop with it and it works great.

Cyclepath · verified purchase · dickssportinggoods.com

The bike itself is really nice. Very nice quality construction. The "ride" is super smooth and very quiet. Be aware though that this doesn't work with Apple Fitness. You can connect the bike via bluetooth to an Apple Watch and it will get stats from your ride like Speed, Distance, and Cadence. However the speed and distance are radically wrong.
