Buyers4.124 ratings

Owners love the comfort, waterproofing, and grip for day hiking, but some worry about tread durability wearing out before the shoe itself fails.

Brand claims2/2 true2 promises checked

The marketing claims about traction and waterproofing are well-supported by owner feedback, with strong scores on both fronts. However, the pitch stretches on durability—while the shoe itself earns 4.2/5 for durability, owners specifically flag premature tread wear as a weakness, undercutting the implied longevity. Technical specs (weight reduction, pore density) and heritage claims remain unverified by the available review data.

In their words

I don't understand the negative reviews of late. I've had two pairs of these and both have been excellent (I switched to a different brand only because of a good sale in 2021); nice grip and comfort for day hikes. Maybe the latest pairs are being made differently. Not sure, but from my experience I recommend highly (waterproofing is also outstanding)

I used to buy another brand (M*****) but they wore out so quickly. The Vasque breeze is comfy and durable. The waterproofing works. If I had a beef, it would be that I wear out the treads when the rest of the shoe is still good, and if only I could replace the tread, they would probably last 50-100% longer.
