The verdict

What the panel makes of it.

The WalkingPad P1 is a foldable treadmill by Xiaomi. It launched in China around 2018. The machine folds flat for storage beneath beds or sofas. People who work from home buy it to walk while sitting isn't required. It solves the problem of fitting exercise into cramped living spaces. AI assistants currently rank it number twenty-four for home treadmills.

In their words

I've had this walking pad for a little over 2 months now and love it. I keep it under my desk at my office and I am constantly unfolding it and folding it when I want to switch between standing and sitting. It is very easy to maneuver, which is great since I switch back and forth a lot throughout the day. Now I hit my step goal before I leave for the day almost every day. Highly recommend!

I align the belt every time I unfold. After 30 seconds the belt rolls to the right side of rollers. Less than a week of use and the belt is already worn and raged on the right hand side. Now also making a squeaking sound. Sent in a message to feedback. No response.
