Owners love the solid build, intuitive software with power zone training, and effective workouts, but delivery/setup quality and initial bike fitting inconsistencies divide satisfaction.

Brand claims3/3 true3 promises checked

The marketing claims about the swivel screen, display quality, and personalized training guidance are well-supported by owner satisfaction scores (4.7–4.8/5). However, the specific technical specs—weight capacity, resistance levels, and program count—are not addressed in the available review data, leaving them unverified. Setup and fitting inconsistencies noted by some owners suggest the experience doesn't always match the polished marketing pitch.

About

What it is.

Bike+ is Peloton's cross-training entry within its home bike line, spanning Gen 1 and Gen 3 iterations. Built around a belt-drive frame with magnetic resistance across a full range of manual levels, it distinguishes itself with a swivel screen that rotates the display away from the handlebars for floor-based work — turning a stationary cycling setup into a hub for strength, yoga, Pilates, and barre alongside cardio rides.

Heart rate and cadence tracking feed into Peloton's app-based guidance, which shapes program recommendations across formats like Fat Burning, Fitness Test, and Interval training. It's built for someone consolidating a full workout routine into one connected machine with class-driven motivation, rather than someone assembling separate equipment and a standalone app subscription.

The verdict

The Peloton Bike+ ranks as the top exercise bike among AI panels, backed by buyers who praise its solid construction and intuitive power zone training software, though delivery and initial setup quality remain inconsistent pain points. Best suited for those prioritizing the highest-quality indoor bike available, it delivers effective workouts but requires patience through the onboarding process.

Review 3's complaint about poor setup and bike fitting aligns with the lack of professional fitting mentioned as a weakness in delivery experience.

In their words

The Peloton bike is great! It is rock solid, ergonomically and mechanically sound, and quiet. The screen is in the perfect location and the sound from the built in speakers is very good. I love the way the homepage is set up, allowing the choice of your favorite instructor, time goal, and music preference.

Setup didn't include any fitting of the bike. That's important. Anyone who's gone on road rides knows that. The handlebars wobble, and the screen is crooked. Worse yet, there's a big scuff or chip where the tension knob meets the top tube. It's supposed to be a new bike, but it is probably used. I expected more for this price.

Frequently asked

What buyers want to know.

  • What makes the Bike+ different from the standard Peloton Bike?

The main upgrades are a larger swiveling touchscreen, stronger speakers for a more immersive experience, and AI-driven coaching features that add personalization. Reviewers agree the frame quality is solid across both models, but disagree on whether these additions justify the higher cost.

  • What's included with the Bike+, and what costs extra?

The bike itself comes with the frame, touchscreen, and speakers. Weights and some accessories are sold separately. You also need an ongoing subscription to access the full class library and software features.

  • Is the Bike+ worth the price compared to other bikes?

Reviewers note the Bike+ is built solidly with quality materials and offers a deep class library, full ecosystem integration, and personalized coaching. However, the high cost relative to third-party bikes with a standalone app membership is a recurring concern among reviewers.

  • Who should buy the Bike+?

It's best for someone who wants an all-in-one premium home fitness setup with strong classes, tracking, and community motivation. It's not suited for someone on a tight budget or content with a basic bike and a separate app.

  • How does the software experience work?

Reviewers say the class library is deep and motivating, covering cycling and off-bike activities like strength, yoga, and walking. The ecosystem integrates smoothly with wearables and live stats, and auto-resistance features reduce the need to plan workouts manually.

  • Are there any setup or connectivity issues to know about?

Reviewers note that delivery and initial setup quality can be inconsistent. The Ethernet port was removed, so you'll need an adapter if you want a wired connection instead of WiFi.
