About

What it is.

WHOOP 5.0 is a screenless wearable in WHOOP's activity-tracker line, worn continuously rather than checked like a watch. It pairs an optical sensor band with a companion app to surface heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep staging, VO2 max, and menstrual cycle data, aiming to translate raw biometrics into recovery and strain guidance rather than raw numbers alone.

It suits people optimizing training load, sleep, or daily readiness who prefer a low-profile band over a display-driven smartwatch. The WHOOP Journal lets wearers log habits like workouts, caffeine, or nutrition to correlate lifestyle choices with recovery, while WHOOP Coach turns that data into tailored sleep, strain, and recovery recommendations. The included CoreKnit band and corded charger round out the hardware for everyday wear.

The verdict

WHOOP 5.0 excels at precise health tracking and all-day comfort with impressive battery life, earning strong buyer approval at 4.4/5 stars, though the standard band shows durability concerns during intense workouts.

In their words

The accuracy of the health metrics—especially heart rate, recovery, and sleep tracking—is outstanding. The data insights feel truly personalized, helping me optimize workouts and rest days more effectively. The new strap design is lightweight and comfortable enough to wear 24/7, and the battery life plus wireless charging make it super convenient.

Its a good, genuine Whoop product however I found that the band it comes is not as good as the ones you get with Peak or Life MG plan. I found that when I do agressive sports it loosens I'm not sure if mine has just been worn out, I have had it for a few months. The band fits well normally and is good but during intense training I found that it loosened and didnt track properly though it's not on
