What owners single out
Multiple buyers report the jacket wetting out immediately in light rain, directly echoing the core waterproofing failure that video reviewers would likely flag as a critical flaw for a rain jacket.
In their words
“Fast shipment from Sunandski. Don't need a helmet size hood, no need to pay more. Hood works good. DWR good, water from a hose reflected off. Plasticky backing on Downpour my least favorite silky of Pertex shells (durability up though). Far less crinkle than 3L GTX, AShell, but stiffest least silky for Pertex. Material wise, i think breathability was compromised compared to more expensive or less ”

“I never write reviews but I wanna save other people from making this mistake. First off the features on this jacket are good. The drawstrings on the hood work very well pockets are big and the jacket fits well. The issues is this jacket wets out immediately! I took it in light rain a few times and it soaked through within minutes. For a jacket called the downpour you'd expect some water resistants”
