AI summary of 5 reviews · as of May 2026

Reviewers agree the Q7 Max+ excels at vacuuming hard floors and carpets with exceptional navigation efficiency, but mopping performance is merely adequate and the price sits uncomfortably close to higher-tier models.

Where reviewers disagree: One reviewer finds the mopping better than expected for a robot vacuum, while another explicitly states it falls short and recommends a different model for serious mopping needs; Opinion splits on value: some call it a great choice worth recommending to friends, others question the pricing given proximity to premium alternatives

Mixed reviews

What they praise

  • Exceptionally efficient navigation and coverage, with best-in-class mapping speed and cleaning patterns
  • Strong vacuum pickup on both hard floors and carpet, with very good deep-clean performance on embedded debris
  • Large 350ml water reservoir allows extended mopping coverage before refills
  • Accurate lidar mapping with full suite of app features including multi-floor maps, zone cleaning, and no-go zones
  • Long battery life and excellent energy efficiency per charge

What they knock

  • Mopping performance is only adequate for light spills; the non-vibrating, non-lifting pad struggles with baked-on stains without multiple passes
  • Lacks dedicated carpet sensor, so users must manually create no-mop zones to protect rugs
  • Combined dust bin and water tank design results in a smaller air filter with less surface area
  • Price positioning sits very close to higher-tier S7 models that offer better features

Who reviewers think this product is — and isn’t — for

For you if

Buyers with mostly hard floors who prioritize vacuum performance and mapping intelligence over mopping capability, and who want automated maintenance via auto-empty dock.

Look elsewhere if

Anyone needing strong mopping performance for stubborn stains, or households with mixed hard-floor and carpet areas who want automatic carpet avoidance while mopping.

In their words

Bought the Q7max+ a few days ago and I’ve been super impressed! I love this robot so much I told my husband it’s my robobaby 😂 it came with a dust bag installed and an extra one in the box! First off, I’m not new to cleaning robots so this is an absolute game changer, especially with the auto emptying dock! You can control it all from the app, even while away from home, at work, at the store!! yo

We wanted to love this, but had to return it. While it did one successful cleaning, after that we could never get it to successfully clean. It would not go onto a very thin carpet ( that it went on day before), it would leave the dock and return 1 minute later and say “I’m done”. Connection to Wi-Fi took over two hours… like really. Customer support is “eager” but could not resolve issues.

Frequently asked

What buyers want to know.

  • Is Roborock Q7 Max+ a good vacuum?

Reviewers say it excels at vacuuming hard floors and carpets with strong pickup and efficient navigation. Mopping performance is only adequate for light spills, and the price sits very close to higher-tier models, so value depends on whether you prioritize vacuuming over mopping.

  • What is the Roborock Q7 Max+ vacuum cleaner?

It is a robot vacuum that vacuums and mops simultaneously. It has lidar mapping, a large water reservoir for extended mopping, and connects to an app with features like zone cleaning and no-go zones. It includes an auto-empty dock and generates 4200 pascals of suction.

  • Who is the Q7 Max+ best for?

It suits buyers with mostly hard floors who want strong vacuuming and smart navigation without needing serious mopping power. It is not recommended for households needing strong mopping for stubborn stains or those with mixed hard-floor and carpet areas who want automatic carpet avoidance while mopping.

  • What are the common problems with the Roborock Q7 Max+?

The mopping pad does not vibrate or lift, so it struggles with baked-on stains without multiple passes. The vacuum lacks a dedicated carpet sensor, requiring manual setup of no-mop zones to protect rugs. The combined dust bin and water tank results in a smaller air filter.
