Short answer?

Take Aer if you weight the AI ranking and buyer ratings; take Butterfly if reviewer scores matter more. That's where they diverge — elsewhere they're close.

How this is made

Built from what 3 AI models (Gemini · Perplexity · Claude) recommend for real buyer questions, layered with reviewer test summaries, Google buyer ratings, street prices and press. The short answer and verdict are derived from where those signals diverge — not written by hand for either product.

What reviewers say

divided
Reviewers praise
  • Rigid, well-constructed chassis with reinforced metal reduces alignment issues and rickety feel compared to other compacts
  • Large seat with tall backrest and wide dimensions accommodates toddlers comfortably through three to four years
  • Smooth push on pavement and indoor surfaces with sturdy handling that feels premium
Reviewers push back
  • Heavier and bulkier than many competing travel strollers at sixteen pounds, making carrying less convenient
  • Small wheels struggle on cobblestones, gravel, and broken pavement
  • Fold and unfold require practice and can feel stiff or stick initially, not as effortless as advertised
Reviewers agree the Butterfly delivers a sturdy build, smooth push, and roomy seat for a compact stroller, though the fold takes practice and the extra weight and bulk may frustrate some travelers.
— best for: Parents who prioritize build quality and a roomy seat for older toddlers, mainly pushing on smooth urban surfaces and occasional air travel.

On Butterfly: One reviewer found the fold clumsy and not as easy as hoped, while others praised it as simple and convenient once mastered

I really liked this product! It is beautiful, classy, and comfortable for travel. My baby enjoys it too. He likes the inside of the bassinet, which is cool and works well in different weather. It has good cushioning and is easy to assemble and disassemble with one hand, making it practical for car trips and even on airplanes. This brand has impressed me and I would buy it again without hesitation. Carol Mcquaid · macrobaby.com

The bumper bar is definitely a must-have! My baby is still a bit small, but she already loves using it. She rests her feet on it, holds onto it to keep her toys from falling, and seems to enjoy the feel of the leather material. The stroller itself feels very secure, but the added support of the bumper bar makes it even better for us. It’s super easy to install, to remove, and to clean. Just a quic Rose · Target
