What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

across 5 reviews
4.0/5

Reviewers praise
  • Exceptional multi-band GPS accuracy, precise within feet even in challenging environments with trees or tall buildings
  • Outstanding battery life lasting 16 days with daily GPS tracking, far exceeding typical smartwatch endurance
  • Brilliant AMOLED display that remains readable in direct sunlight with minimal glare and fluid responsiveness
Reviewers push back
  • Large size and weight make it uncomfortable for smaller wrists and impractical for all-day or sleep wear for some users
  • Complex button interface remains confusing even after years of use, not intuitive compared to touchscreen-first watches
  • Many recesses and crevices collect sweat, dust, and grime requiring frequent cleaning
A rugged, feature-rich multisport watch with outstanding GPS, long battery life, and a brilliant AMOLED display, though the size and complexity demand commitment.
— best for: Serious multisport athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize accurate GPS tracking, long battery life, extensive training data, and rugged durability over everyday wearability.

  • Battery life extends to fourteen days in normal use, far outlasting Samsung and Apple competitors
  • AMOLED display is bright, sharp, and readable outdoors with good contrast and vivid colours
  • Aluminium build feels premium yet remains light at thirty-four grams with a comfortable, skinny profile
Reviewers push back
  • Heart-rate tracking is unreliable during workouts, often detecting half the actual rate or missing peaks entirely
  • Notifications arrive late frequently, repeating the same flaw from previous generations
  • App ecosystem remains limited compared to Wear OS, with no Google Maps or complex navigation apps
if you fancy yourself pretty much all of the features that you'd get in a Samsung or an apple Smartwatch but with the added bonus of superior battery life
Tech Spurt · best for Casual users who prioritise long battery life, attractive design, and general activity tracking over precise heart-rate data during intense workouts.

This watch was everything I expected. Took a chance and bought this 'renewed - like new condition and that is exactly what arrived - looks and acts brand new! after 30 days so far so good! I bought this to replace my Garmin 245 Music so I would not have to using a charging puck halfway through an upcoming 100K in Arizona (I am an old and slow back of the packer!). I bought the GTR 4 because I was really frustrated by the poor GPS tracking on the FitBit Charge 6. Admittedly, this is a much larger device. But for around the same price, it has so many features and the GPS Dual-band positioning is both reliable and accurate. I've found that it is also easy and intuitive to use. In my eyes the GTR 4 is also much better looking as an all-day wrist-watch. It is a amazfit.com
