What reviewers say

Distilled from the video reviewers — the score, what they praise, where they push back.?

Epix Pro (Gen 2)
across 5 reviews
4.0/5

Reviewers praise
  • Exceptional multi-band GPS accuracy, precise within feet even in challenging environments with trees or tall buildings
  • Outstanding battery life lasting 16 days with daily GPS tracking, far exceeding typical smartwatch endurance
  • Brilliant AMOLED display that remains readable in direct sunlight with minimal glare and fluid responsiveness
Reviewers push back
  • Large size and weight make it uncomfortable for smaller wrists and impractical for all-day or sleep wear for some users
  • Complex button interface remains confusing even after years of use, not intuitive compared to touchscreen-first watches
  • Many recesses and crevices collect sweat, dust, and grime requiring frequent cleaning
A rugged, feature-rich multisport watch with outstanding GPS, long battery life, and a brilliant AMOLED display, though the size and complexity demand commitment.
— best for: Serious multisport athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who prioritize accurate GPS tracking, long battery life, extensive training data, and rugged durability over everyday wearability.
Watch Ultra 2

divided
Reviewers praise
  • Exceptionally bright 3000-nit display excels in outdoor conditions and powers impressive flashlight functionality
  • Double-tap gesture works reliably and becomes genuinely useful once adopted, especially for music and call control
  • Excellent battery life delivers 36 hours of normal use, 72 hours with low-power mode
Reviewers push back
  • Visually indistinguishable from the original Ultra, making the upgrade feel pointless for existing owners
  • Action button is underutilized—reviewers consistently forget it exists or rarely press it
  • Blood oxygen sensing removed on newer units due to legal issues, though hardware may still be present
The Ultra 2 is a minimal spec bump over the original Ultra, distinguished mainly by brighter display and double-tap gesture, making it worthwhile only for first-time buyers or those with very old watches.
— best for: First-time Apple Watch buyers or those upgrading from Series 3 or older who want maximum battery, brightness, and a larger rugged design.

Where reviewers split on Epix Pro (Gen 2): Heart rate accuracy improvements from the Elevate Gen 5 sensor: one reviewer found it the best Garmin sensor yet with 3-5 second lag, while another noted 20-30 seconds on the prior generation but unclear consistency across users On Watch Ultra 2: Black titanium finish—one reviewer loves the matte look and orange accents, another worries about long-term durability of the coating

This watch was everything I expected. Took a chance and bought this 'renewed - like new condition and that is exactly what arrived - looks and acts brand new! after 30 days so far so good! I bought this to replace my Garmin 245 Music so I would not have to using a charging puck halfway through an upcoming 100K in Arizona (I am an old and slow back of the packer!). I’ve worn a few Apple Watches over the years, and the Ultra is on a completely different level. The titanium band feels solid but not heavy, the display is insanely bright, and the battery life is finally what I always wanted from an Apple Watch (comfortably more than a day, even with workouts and notifications going nonstop). The Action Button is actually practical, not gimmicky. GPS accuracy is Ethan G · influenster.com
