Reviewers praise
  • Barometric altimeter enables wrist-based running power and hill-splitter features without accessories
  • Route navigation and Strava Live Segments now included at this price point
  • Extremely lightweight at 40–41 grams with comfortable silicone band and improved screen clarity
Reviewers push back
  • Heart rate tracking struggles outdoors with delayed response to intensity changes and frequent underreporting
  • GPS accuracy lags behind competitors in certain conditions
  • No touchscreen despite upgraded display

Reviewers praise
  • AMOLED display delivers vibrant colors and strong contrast while achieving multi-day battery life uncommon for this screen technology
  • Sleep tracking includes actionable coaching, nap detection, and all-night HRV monitoring instead of raw data dumps
  • Built-in microphone and speaker enable phone calls and voice assistant access without pulling out a phone
Reviewers push back
  • Button quality varies noticeably—bottom button feels mushy, creating an inconsistent tactile experience
  • Personal sleep baseline appears identical across different users, undermining the personalization claim
  • Case construction relies heavily on fiber-reinforced polymer, reducing premium feel despite stainless bezel
A well-executed lifestyle smartwatch that balances Garmin's health tracking depth with genuine smartwatch features, though sleep coaching and HRV feel more evolutionary than revolutionary.
— best for: Buyers who want Garmin's recovery insights and week-long battery in a lifestyle form factor with actual smartwatch features like calls and voice assistants.

Where reviewers split on Pacer Pro: One reviewer found heart rate accuracy problematic for outdoor cycling with significant misdetections, while others reported generally acceptable performance for running On Venu 3: Size preference splits between reviewers—some prefer the larger 45mm for screen real estate, others find the 41mm adequate even on small wrists

I've been using this watch as my daily watch now for 3 weeks, it's excellent. Previously I was using a Google Pixel Watch, and using that for running, the difference is like chalk and cheese. This watch also features what we now expect as standard on a smartwatch: Step count, HRM, Sleep tracker & also features more advanced options such as training load and readiness. I bought this Gamin Venu 3 watch after deliberating for a very long time about buying an Apple Watch.... The Garmin Venu 3 won out on the battery time (I can wear it for about a week before I need to charge it). I only use my watch for basic health related monitoring but it has a massive amount of functions that would be super useful for anyone who is casually into monitoring their health/sport re WolfMother · very.co.uk
