AI summary of 5 reviews · as of May 2026

A light, versatile stability trainer with smooth J-frame support that works for daily miles and faster paces without feeling intrusive.

Where reviewers disagree: Some reviewers found the arch support noticeable underfoot while others felt no sensation at all during runs; Heel cupping described as reassuring by one tester but potentially problematic for wider feet; Firmness relative to other Hoka models debated—firmer than Clifton and Bondi versus just right for a stability shoe

Reviewers split

What they praise

  • J-frame stability feels supportive without being intrusive or clunky
  • Lighter than most stability shoes while maintaining cushion and support
  • Versatile enough for easy runs, tempo work, and longer distances
  • Upper fits snug in midfoot with room in toebox; improved tongue padding
  • Meta-rocker geometry delivers smooth heel-to-toe transitions

What they knock

  • Exposed midsole foam wears faster than rubber-covered areas
  • Sizing runs slightly long for some runners;fit can be inconsistent across versions
  • Not ideal for lateral movement or weightlifting due to rocker platform
  • Upper mesh durability concerns in earlier models; newer version mesh feels thinner

Buyers' weakest aspect (durability at 3.2) aligns with video reviewers' concern that exposed midsole foam wears faster than rubber-covered areas.

In their words

This is my 4th pair of Arahi’s in the last 3 years. I’ve found the Arahi’s 6 to last approximately 550-600kms and it’s by far one of the best stability shoes out in the market and perfect for long runs. Although the shoe is light considering it’s purpose it’s not really recommended for pace/tempo sessions. Strongly recommended!

Very comfortable. However the back of the heal wore a small hole in less than 3 months. I wear them similar to other shoes/ hiking shoes and while my heal is slightly narrow, normally it's well over a year before get any signs of wear.
