Owners love the hands-off automation and vacuuming power, but mopping falls short with streaking, incomplete coverage on textured floors, and the need for manual pad pre-wetting despite self-cleaning

AI summary of 5 reviews · as of May 2026

Reviewers agree the S7 MaxV Ultra delivers exceptional automation through its self-emptying, mop-washing dock and strong cleaning performance, though its obstacle avoidance remains imperfect and the system demands periodic maintenance.

What they praise

  • The Ultra dock automatically empties the dust bin, washes the mop pad, and refills clean water, enabling weeks of hands-off operation
  • Mop lifts over carpet automatically, making it effective for mixed flooring without manual pad removal
  • Suction power at 5100 pascals excels at carpet deep cleaning and surface debris pickup on hard floors
  • Navigation using LiDAR plus 3D sensors produces precise, methodical room coverage with minimal missed spots
  • Sonic vibration mopping with self-cleaning produces genuinely clean floors rather than smearing dirt around

What they knock

  • Obstacle avoidance fails occasionally with items like draped blankets, string, or objects on patterned rugs
  • The dock requires periodic manual cleaning of filters, brush, and debris areas despite automation claims
  • Dust bin uses disposable bags rather than a reusable container, creating ongoing supply needs
  • Large, sticky messes may not be fully removed in one mopping pass

Who reviewers think this product is — and isn’t — for

For you if

This suits people with extensive hard floors who want maximum automation and don't mind occasional manual intervention to clear stuck objects or perform maintenance.

In their words

Skynet is here, i for one welcome our new robot vacuum overlords! This thing is amazing! I cannot believe that i had been breaking my back for so long manually vacuuming. The job is does is fantastic as it vacuums and mops at the same time, it can change to carpets easily and refills, empties, clans and docks it self.

If you are buying this for the mopping feature, find a different company. This design has a ton of flaws. First, people buy a robot to avoid having to do extra work. We should not be required to wet the mopping pad before use. I have the dock clean the pad prior to use. It lasts for about 40 feet before leaving tiny wet strips on the floor. It also leaves wheel tracks in the mopping section.
