AI summary of 5 reviews · as of May 2026

Reviewers agree the Zenfone 10 is an exceptional compact flagship that delivers top-tier performance, world-class battery life, and gimbal-stabilized video in a one-handed form factor.

Where reviewers disagree: Reviewers split on thermal management: one found heavy throttling in dynamic mode with periodic drops in performance mode, another praised gaming performance without major complaints.; Opinions differ on the 144Hz display claim—some see it as misleading since it only activates in select games, others accept it as a legitimate gaming feature.; Front camera performance divided one reviewer who preferred the older model's selfies over the newer 32MP sensor with green tint and noise.

What they praise

  • Outstanding battery life for a small phone, consistently delivering seven to eight hours of screen time per day despite the modest 4300mAh capacity.
  • Exceptional gimbal stabilization produces tripod-smooth video with minimal shake, outperforming competitors in low light.
  • Compact 5.9-inch size enables true one-handed use while retaining flagship specs including Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, headphone jack, and IP68 rating.
  • Clean Android interface with useful features like programmable fingerprint gestures and gaming overlays, free of bloatware.
  • Durable soft-touch polycarbonate back resists wear better than the previous generation and provides good grip.

What they knock

  • Camera quality falls short of similarly priced flagships, with telephoto absent and selfie video limited to 1080p 30fps.
  • Software support limited to two years of major OS updates versus three or four on competitors.
  • Display brightness around 800 nits lags behind brighter flagships in direct sunlight.
  • Bottom bezel noticeably thicker than top despite marketing images showing symmetry.

Who reviewers think this product is — and isn’t — for

For you if

Anyone who wants a truly pocketable flagship with excellent battery life and does not prioritize camera quality over size and one-handed usability.

Look elsewhere if

Photography enthusiasts who need telephoto reach and top-tier image processing, or anyone requiring long-term software support beyond two years.

Buyers' weakest aspect—software support limited to 2 years of OS updates—directly overlaps video reviewers' criticism of ASUS offering only two years of major OS updates versus three or four on competitors.

I did switch from a Oneplus 6, on the camera side the performance on low light conditions ware better but in daylight i appreciate more the older camera because it was not so aggresive or sharpening from post processing. For the performance side it was a top tier phone. The support side feel like year 2009 with only 2 years of os and 3 of security patches while other companies offer even 5 years o
