Buyers' weakest aspect (camera quality at 3.8) aligns with video reviewers' knock that cameras lack the resolution and telephoto reach of true flagship systems.

In their words

I wanted to try a smaller mobile, without compromising performance, and I have been constantly impressed so far by the ZenFone 9. Though having less cameras than my previous samsung S20+, I've found the photo quality is comparable, and greater in some instances. The speed and screen response is superior, as it's battery life. What truly sets this phone apart though - are the understated, but well

For me the Zenfone 9 was very comfortable to use. It fits snuggly into my pocket, & hands down it give the best experience of one handed handling. The performance was so good. The build was so sturdy. Just the back of the phone was quite hard to keep clean. It was intact & strong though. For me only the camera was a bit lacking in view of the photo & video quality compared to other flagship phone.
