In their words

Recently purchased this connect bike and the rower a few months prior. Best new addiction and I’m in the best shape of my life. Just about to receive my 100 ride tshirt. Thank you Echelon and all the incredibly inspirational instructors..

Steven B. · verified purchase · echelonfit.com

I have great WiFi and an older connect sport which has been faultless. My new EX5s-22 is almost useless. Has great difficulty in connecting to my WiFi, like one out of 10 tries, there is no music in the class workouts, it doesn’t even have a menu option to connect my one touch shifter. I clearly have an old screen firmware.

Find your situation?

Made for some — wrong for others.

Reliability-Seekerproven & safe

You want a proven, low-risk stationary bike with broad buyer consensus.

Good fit

1259 ratings with 3.8/5 average and established brand provide strong confidence; mature product with settled reputation in the market.

Premium Connoisseurbrand & status

You value a prestige brand and flagship positioning in your fitness gear.

Good fit

Echelon is an established, recognized maker with premium market positioning; the Connect line is a core flagship offering in the connected bike category.

Enthusiastjoy & aesthetics

You love bikes that delight beyond specs—design, feel, and the full experience.

Could fit

High marks for build quality and comfort, plus strong class content suggest a satisfying sensory and engagement experience beyond raw performance.

Quality Perfectionistbest-in-class

You're seeking the objectively best-in-class connected stationary bike.

Could fit

Strong build quality and class content (3.8/5 from 1259 reviews), but connectivity/technical reliability is a known weak point that prevents top-tier standing.

Simplifierjust works

You need a bike that works out of the box with minimal fiddling.

Could fit

Mid-range setup ease and known connectivity issues suggest this requires more configuration and troubleshooting than a true plug-and-play option.

Value-Maximizerprice first

You want a solid connected bike without overspending on premium features.

Not for you

At ~$900–1000, it's mid-to-premium priced; cheaper rivals like the S22i (~$650) deliver comparable core performance at significantly lower cost. Consider Commercial S22i Studio Cycle.

Grounded in our buyer-review, reviewer-video, price and successor signals — a poor fit names a closer pick · as of Jul 28.
