About

What it is.

Sony's Xperia 5 VI belongs to the compact-flagship branch of the Xperia line, built for users who want pocketable dimensions without giving up top-tier imaging and display work. Its 6.1-inch OLED panel runs a 21:9 aspect ratio at FHD+ resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, paired with 4K HDR 120fps recording across all rear cameras — positioning it as much as a creative and media tool as a communication device. Android runs on 8GB RAM with 128GB of expandable storage, backed by a 5000mAh battery and wireless charging.

The phone suits buyers drawn to Sony's design pedigree and craftsmanship — those who weigh feel and finish alongside specs — and who want a compact Android handset from an established brand rather than an oversized flagship.

The verdict

The Xperia 5 VI delivers strong camera and display performance in a compact form factor that buyers appreciate, though overheating under load and durability inconsistencies temper enthusiasm among owners.

This is simply not an option. I'm completely disappointed with SONY products. For some reason, they keep breaking after two years of use. The warranty just expired, and that's it. Repairs are comparable in cost to buying a new smartphone. My whole family uses SONY devices, and we're just tired of constantly replacing them due to breakdowns.
